Molly and Grolsch
I just love those heated outside bars at the 'Oude Markt' in Enschede. Yesterday evening a couple of friends and me had a few Palmpjes at Molly Malone's. Great and nice evening, better then hanging out in front of the TV, thanks guys!
Last tuesday we visited the Grolsch brewery here in Enschede with Scintilla. The afternoon started of with a video presenting all commercials ever made by Grolsch. Further it consisted of a tour around the plant, which was opened in 2004 and costed about 277 million euros, and finishing with the possibility to taste all the different beers made by Grolsch. Too bad though the amount of glasses 'Kanon' was limited to one per person.
The tour showed us not only the brewery line, but also the filling lines for bottles (including swingtop/beugels), cans and kegs. Everything is pretty much automated with all kind of robots and conveyor belts. Including the 20.000 square meters storage, quite impressive! We had a great afternoon, drank a couple of beers and 'broke' one of the 'Noabers' on my way home ;-)
